Program Description:
This educational activity is designed to improve the knowledge of pediatric emergency medicine physicians at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin as it relates to the care of children during disasters, children at risk for abuse, children sustaining traumatic injuries, asthma care, abdominal pain, and pain in children. We will accomplish this educational activity through a combination of didactic review and discussion.
There are rapid changes in the care of children who are injured, in mass casualty preparedness, and in asthma care. These changes require that our team is able to respond to these injured and ill children rapidly.
The Medical College of Wisconsin is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
The Medical College of Wisconsin designates this live activity for a maximum of 1.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
