Program Description: 

This educational activity is designed to change the following variables.  Identify barriers to change in practice the CE activity is designed to help learners overcome and idenify enablers that the CE activity is designed to help learners take advantace of.  Barriers include: complexity of HIV PEP medications, diverse appraches to care of hand injures, and rare instances of pregnancy-related visits to pediatric ED.  The enablers include: discussion of common approaches to various ED concerns and the potential development of practice guidelines.

The Medical College of Wisconsin is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The Medical College of Wisconsin designates this live activity for a maximum of 2.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.  Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Understand priorities for care of trauma patients.
Identify and care for youth who may have been sex-traffic victims.
Understand new strategies for prevention of HIV infection in sexually abused youth.
