Program Description: 

This is a series that includes both didactic lectures and case-based presentations geared towards the pediatric emergency medicine provider. Presentations are given by pediatric emergency medicine providers, subspecialty physicians, or experts from other disciplines and cover a wide range of topics that include an evidence-based medicine approach to pediatric resuscitation/trauma and other common acute pediatric illnesses, public health topics such as health disparities, community violence, and pediatric mental health, amongst others

  • Brief overview of burn depth and surface area
  • Review of burn dressing options and optimal dressing choice for specific burns
  • Review red flags for burn injuries and when to consult Surgery
