This activity is designed to optimize care of children with pediatric hematologic disorders and enable care coordination with pediatric oncology and pediatric bone marrow transplant. We intend to identify barriers to care in order to optimize diagnosis and therapy. We discuss new developments in treatment of hematology patients for example the development of new long-acting factor concentrates for the treatment of hemophilia, novel agents for the treatment of chronic ITP as well as novel diagnostic approaches for rare disorders.
