Specialists throughout the DOP help lead these sessions. The goal is to refresh key concepts that will be applicable to initial or recertification boards for Pediatric Hospital Medicine.

Participants who engage in this educational intervention will be able to:
1.Describe the pathophysiology and common etiologies of acute pancreatitis in children
2.Describe the clinical signs and symptoms and diagnostic criteria of acute pancreatitis.
3.Plan the diagnostic evaluation for acute pancreatitis and its complications.
4.Manage a patient with acute pancreatitis and its complications, including fluid and nutrition considerations.
5.Recognize indications for gastroenterology referral for patients with pancreatitis
6.Plan long term follow up for patient with acute pancreatitis
