Program Description: 

Pediatric Tumor Board is a weekly lecture series that is given by pediatric heme/onc/BMT fellows and Faculty.  Each session focuses on a patient presentation that leads to a clinical question.  The multidisciplinary team will review the pertinent data that addresses the clinical question The focus of the content will address a diagnostic dilemma, treatment choices, or adverse event mitigation or treatment.  The goal of each session is to come to an agreement on the answer to the clinical question based on the data presented.

Learning objectives: 

Participants who engage in this educational intervention will be able to:

  • Describe the importance of the role pathology, radiology, and oncology have in the diagnosis of oncology and bone marrow transplant (BMT) disorders
  • Demonstrate how to critically review the literature to answer a clinical question
  • Demonstrate how to diagnose and treat both common and uncommon oncology and BMT diagnoses
  • Engage in discussion about treatment planning for oncology and BMT diagnoses
