Program Description: 

The purpose of the series is to maintain and further the practice-based knowledge of pediatric urology providers and clinical support staff. Multiple quarterly multidisciplinary activities are included within the conference series including quarterly pathology review, invited lecture series and bimonthly disorders of sexual development conference.

Learning objectives: 

Participants who engage in this educational intervention will be able to:

  • Describe tenets of multi-disciplinary and patient-centered care as it relates to patients with DSD conditions, nephrolithiasis and complex urogenital conditions, such as anorectal malformation and cloacal anomaly.
  • Demonstrate EMR resources that can be used for tracking patient outcomes related to time-sensitive emergent care for urgent urology conditions such as testis torsion and renal trauma.
  • Describe two or more ways that social determinants of health may influence variability in outcomes in pediatric patients with urologic disease.
