Program Description: 

Weekly multidisciplinary conference focused on a variety of pediatric urology topics including pediatric incontinence, congenital urinary anomalies, spina bifida, differences in sex development. Rotating modalities including didactic lectures, case-based presentations and journal clubs with frequent multidisciplinary collaboration from other specialties (i.e. pediatric endocrinology, pediatric surgery, pediatric nephrology, etc). Appropriate for pediatric subspecialists who provide care for children with simple and complex urologic anomalies.

Learning objectives: 

Participants who engage in this educational intervention will be able to:

  • Identify the pathophysiology of both congenital and endocrine anomalies while incorporating various treatments to improve patient outcomes.
  • Describe various genital conditions and their impacts on children/adolescents' health. 
  • Analyze the importance that nutrition plays in children/adolescent experiencing urological disorders.
  • Identify and evaluate various works or studies that impact medical outcomes in clinical settings.
  • Learn from experienced doctors and surgeons about various subjects in the field of Pediatric Urology.
  • Have a better understanding of bladder exstrophy as a whole, and also surgical techniques used by experts who have participated in many bladder exstrophy repairs.
