Program Description: 

Weekly multidisciplinary conference focused on a variety of pediatric urology topics including pediatric incontinence, congenital urinary anomalies, spina bifida, differences in sex development. Rotating modalities including didactic lectures, case-based presentations and journal clubs with frequent multidisciplinary collaboration from other specialties (i.e. pediatric endocrinology, pediatric surgery, pediatric nephrology, etc). Appropriate for pediatric subspecialists who provide care for children with simple and complex urologic anomalies.

Learning objectives: 

Participants who engage in this educational intervention will be able to:

  • Discuss and analyze the Baby ORIOLES Randomized Clinical Trial, which was used to measure the effectiveness of Liposomal Bupivacaine With Bupivacaine Hydrochloride vs Bupivacaine Hydrochloride Alone as a local anesthetic for children undergoing ambulatory urologic surgery, and how this might affect how patients are treated in the future.
  • Discuss and analyze the randomized clinical trial studying the efficacy and safety of high-dose Vitamin D Supplementation vs Solifenacin or Standard Urotherapy for Overactive Bladder Dry in Children.
