Learning objectives: 

We are particularly adept and known for our teased fiber electrophysiological recordings, patch clamp electrophysiological recordings and calcium imaging on identified sensory neuron populations. For the past 15 years, I have established a strong record of independent funding, including being Principal Investigator on two current NIH R01 grants as well as Co-Investigator on an NIH R21 that are all funded by NINDS. I have a keen interest in the molecular mechanisms that underlie somatosensory mechanotransduction in the normal, healthy state and in conditions of tissue injury or disease.
