Program Description: 

The presentations will help to support work around the role of patient experience in health care and how it support is not only patient satisfaction but also clinical outcomes. The two hour, physician-led interactive session is designed to help MDs, NPs, and PAs.

  • In today’s healthcare environment, describe how patients judge quality, why the patient experience matters in clinical practice, and the physician’s role in the shaping the patient experience.
  • For individual patient encounters, list the four best practice techniques for patient engagement, and describe a framework to assure these techniques are consistently implemented.
  • c.  In a clinical practice, there are common patient scenarios presented which can be challenging to address.  Using the principles learned in this session, describe how to best respond to these common situations.
