Program Description: 

This series includes a clinical outcomes conference where long-term results are presented and discussed, a morbidity and mortality conference where an ongoing review of complications is performed to maximize adherence to national guidelines and improve safety. These activities also include occupational sessions as well as medical legal sessions through the MCWAH Office. The conference also includes monthly presentations by visiting professors as well as curriculum-based presentations by faculty, residents and fellows. A topic or theme ties the activities together each month.

  • Describe operative indications and techniques in primary cleft palate repair
  • Discuss postoperative management of complications including oronasal fistula and velopharyngeal insufficiency
  • Highlight a treatment algorithm for cleft palate from birth to adulthood
