ForwardWisconsin Society of Plastic Surgeons 2019 Annual Conference
The Annual Wisconsin Society of Plastic Surgery meeting is the only specialty specific educational opportunity provided to the board certified plastic surgeons in the state of Wisconsin. The society members, board, and academic faculty have identified reconstructive and cosmetic breast surgery as high priority content. Recent changes in the types of implants available, tissue reconstruction options, and abdominal deformities sometime associated with autologous breast reconstruction will be discussed. The most significant barriers to implementing changes in plastic surgical technique is lack of data demonstrating efficacy. The designed program will provide the Society Members with patient outcome data. More importantly the program is designed as a real-time interactive session between speakers and members.

Learning Objectives
- Primary cosmetic deformities of the breast are common conditions for which patients seek treatment. The presentation will allow the learner to improve evaluation and execute surgical treatment for primary cosmetic breast deformities by understanding tissue mechanics in the context of different implant choices.
- Secondary cosmetic deformities of the breast are common. The learner will be able to better identify the specific tissue and implant deficiencies associated with secondary breast deformities. The learner will be able to consider a reproducible surgical algorithm to deal with those deficiencies.
- Primary cancer related breast deformities are common. Pre-pectoral breast implant reconstruction is a promising, but new technique for breast reconstruction. The speaker will discuss benefits, drawbacks, and techniques of this type of breast reconstruction that will allow plastic surgeons to increase their range of breast reconstruction abilities.
- Abdominal deformities are common conditions for which patients seek improvement. The presenter will discuss technique refinements allowing the learner to improve safety, efficiency, and patient satisfaction associated with these procedures.
- Breast implant associated anaplastic large cell lymphoma has been identified in recent years. The speaker will provide an update regarding this condition. The learner will understand the appropriate diagnostic work-up and treatment of this condition.
