The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine Grand Rounds presentations are designed to provide continuing medical education for psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, nurses, residents, medical students, counselors, and other mental healthcare professionals. This activity will bring the audience up to date on the most current findings and treatment modalities in the diagnosis and treatment of mental disorders as well as inform them of the newest research areas in clinical psychiatry and psychology. Our sessions extend via teleconference to mental health professionals in rural WI to areas with our rural psychiatry residencies as well as MCW and rural medical school campuses.

1. Discuss the societal and family-level barriers that affect access to developmental and mental health care for children and families of color
2. Explain a new initiative to help families access care, while also giving them a voice in how care is provided
