Program Description: 

The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine Grand Rounds presentations are designed to provide continuing medical education for psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, nurses, residents, medical students, counselors, and other mental healthcare professionals.  This activity will bring the audience up to date on the most current findings and treatment modalities in the diagnosis and treatment of mental disorders as well as inform them of the newest research areas in clinical psychiatry and psychology.  Our sessions extend via teleconference to mental health professionals in rural WI to areas with our rural psychiatry residencies as well as MCW and rural medical school campuses. 

As an APA Approved Sponsor for Continuing Education, the Medical College of Wisconsin attests that this program has no:

Learning objectives: 
Participants who engage in this educational intervention will be able to:
1. Identify what neuropsychiatric presentation would raise suspicion for anti-NMDAR encephalitis.
2  List the diagnostic tools for the workup of anti-NMDAR encephalitis.
3. Determine the treatments for anti-NMDAR encephalitis and their anticipated effects.
