Program Description: 

This conference is intended to enhance the overall fund of knowledge required for the radiation oncologist to treat patients in all oncologic subspecialties and to inform the radiation oncologist on quality delivery of these technologies.

Learning objectives: 

Participants who engage in this educational intervention will be able to:

  • Incorporate updated dose–volume histogram (DVH) constraints into radiation therapy treatment planning workflows to improve plan consistency and quality.
  • Apply contemporary DVH constraints to accurately contour target volumes and organs at risk in radiation oncology treatment planning.
  • Evaluate radiation treatment plans using updated DVH metrics to optimize plan quality while minimizing toxicity in patients undergoing radiotherapy.
