Participants who engage in this educational intervention will be able to:
- Identify normal alignments and potential signs of fractures, arthritis or dislocations.
- Explain the advantages and differences between MRI & X-Ray in shoulder imaging.
- Recognize the limitations of plain X-rays in assessing soft tissue injuries.
- Differentiate normal from abnormal appearances of rotator cuff tendons, the labrum and biceps.
- Accurately indicate if contrast is required for diagnosis when ordering imaging.
- Accurately order the correct modality required for MSK diagnosis, measured by reduced percentage of radiologist/tech callbacks.
