Program Description: 

Join Society for Pediatric Urgent Care (SPUC) for weekly webinars designed to equip providers with knowledge of best practices for common Pediatric Urgent Care conditions. The goal is to foster a community of providers through academically rigorous, web-based lectures. This webinar series creates the infrastructure for Pediatric Urgent Care systems across the country for spreading ideas and learning from one another. In addition, the webinar series gives providers an ongoing opportunity to earn CME in topics specific to Pediatric Urgent Care.

Learning objectives: 

    Participants who engage in this educational intervention will be able to:

    • Describe at least 2 simulation tool or resource categories that can be used to deliver simulation based education (SBE)
    • List at least 1 domain of SBE 
    • List 3 benefits of SBE
    • Define mastery based learning
    • Define rapid cycle deliberate practice
    • List 2 strengths and 2 limitations of SBE in comparison to traditional clinical training
    • Identify at least one way simulation can be used at your institution or in your department
