This weekly transplant service line lecture serves as an educational forum for team members, providing an opportunity to discuss a variety of clinical, surgical, and system-based topics relevant to transplant care. It promotes interdisciplinary learning, case-based discussions, and continuous improvement in patient management.

Learning objectives:
Participants who engage in this educational intervention will be able to:
- Identify appropriate candidates for total pancreatectomy with islet autotransplantation among patients with chronic pancreatitis who have not achieved durable benefit from medical, endoscopic, or other surgical therapies.
- Assess treatment response to endoscopic and surgical interventions to determine when escalation to total pancreatectomy with islet autotransplantation should be considered in patients with chronic pancreatitis.
- Communicate the roles of an integrated multidisciplinary care team in providing longitudinal perioperative and post-transplant care for patients undergoing total pancreatectomy with islet autotransplantation.
