Program Description: 

This weekly transplant service line lecture serves as an educational forum for team members, providing an opportunity to discuss a variety of clinical, surgical, and system-based topics relevant to transplant care. It promotes interdisciplinary learning, case-based discussions, and continuous improvement in patient management.

  • Explain fundamental concepts of artificial intelligence in healthcare, including key terminology and types of AI most relevant to clinical practice.
  • Evaluate the impact of AI on the physician–patient encounter across pre‑visit, during‑visit, and post‑visit workflows, with attention to clinical decision‑making, documentation, efficiency, and patient experience.
  • Discuss current AI initiatives and governance at the Medical College of Wisconsin, including opportunities, limitations, and considerations for safe, ethical, and effective clinical integration.
