This weekly transplant service line lecture serves as an educational forum for team members, providing an opportunity to discuss a variety of clinical, surgical, and system-based topics relevant to transplant care. It promotes interdisciplinary learning, case-based discussions, and continuous improvement in patient management.

  • Correlate critical illness-induced changes in nutrient digestion, absorption, and utilization with individualized nutrition support strategies.
  • Interpret contemporary randomized trial evidence comparing energy and protein doses during acute critical illness.
  • Apply the concept of nutrition responsiveness to individualize nutrition therapy across the phases of critical illness and recovery.
