This weekly transplant service line lecture serves as an educational forum for team members, providing an opportunity to discuss a variety of clinical, surgical, and system-based topics relevant to transplant care. It promotes interdisciplinary learning, case-based discussions, and continuous improvement in patient management.

Learning objectives: 
Participants who engage in this educational intervention will be able to:
  • Maintain clinical suspicion for intestinal perforation as a rare, life-threatening complication of PTLD after kidney transplantation.
  • Diagnose intestinal PTLD and associated perforation based on characteristic clinical presentation and diagnostic evaluation.
  • Select appropriate medical and surgical management strategies for intestinal perforation secondary to PTLD.
