The Transplant Service Line Lecture Series is designed to enhance knowledge and foster collaboration in the field of transplantation. This series focuses on key topics such as patient care optimization, innovative research, multidisciplinary teamwork, and the latest advancements in transplant medicine. It provides a platform for education, discussion, and sharing best practices to improve outcomes in organ transplantation.

  • Define frailty and its independence from chronological aging from a geriatric perspective.
  • Evaluate current literature on the use of frailty status for solid organ transplant evaluation.
  • Discuss current use of the comprehensive geriatrics assessment for intervention on frail kidney transplant candidates.
