This day-long educational activity is designed to provide an update on the work-up of a newly diagnosed pancreatic cancer patient, describe the treatment sequencing for resectable vs. borderline resectable pancreatic cancer, and review the management of locally advanced pancreatic cancer.
Management of pancreatic cancer is controversial and the staging systems are complicated. This symposium provides background into the diagnosis and work-up of resectable, borderline resectable, and locally advanced pancreatic cancer.
We would like to provide the audience with an evidenced-based approach to the treatment sequencing of pancreatic cancer. In particular, we will compare outcomes with a surgery-first as compared to neoadjuvant approach to localized pancreatic cancer.
