James Rydlewicz, MD will present: Intraoperative Cholangiogram: A Review of the Literature   

Drs. Amin, Collins, and Rydlewicz will graduate from the MCW General Surgery Residency Program in June 2013.

Learning Objectives

For Complex Considerations in the Management of Primary Hyperparathyroidism:
1. Define primary hyperparathyroidism (pHPT)
2. Identify who benefits from parathyroidectomy
3. Discuss less than straight forward cases of pHPT including patients with normal PTH, patients with normal calcium, and patients that have nonlocalizing disease.
 
For The Place of Transplant in General Surgery Resident Training:
1. Understand the ABS SCORE curriculum and it's requirements related to the transplant patient.
2. Discuss the clinical and technical components unique to transplant surgery that enhance general surgical training. 
 
For Intraoperative Cholangiogram: A Review of the Literature:
1. Review of current literature on intra-op cholangiography
2. Role of IOC
3. Pros and cons of routine vs selective IOC.
