The 14th Annual Medical College of Wisconsin LaBahn Pancreatic Cancer Symposium will be held on Friday, January 31, 2025. The symposium will take place at the Westin Milwaukee Hotel at 550 N. Van Buren St, Milwaukee, WI, 53202. The aim of the symposium is to provide a scientific forum that highlights innovative basic and translational science advancements in pancreatic cancer. The goal is to disseminate new scientific information to accelerate the translation of novel preclinical science into clinical trials.

Learning Objectives

Participants who engage in this educational intervention will be able to:

  • Describe the ways in which the pancreatic cancer immune environment provides challenges for modulation, and what avenues are being pursued to overcome barrier to effective immunotherapy.
  • Outline the current landscape of evidence for the use of systemic and local therapy in the perioperative setting, and develop best practices for how to apply clinical trials data into practice.
  • Identify the pros and cons of proton beam therapy and its specific utility in the treatment of pancreatic cancer.
