The APC Lecture Series is designed to enhance clinician competence, improve performance, and positively impact patient outcomes. Participants will gain competence by applying evidence-based guidelines and introducing them into day-to-day practice. The series promotes a culture of continuous improvement, peer-to-peer education, and patient-centered practice that integrates safety, quality, and best practices into daily clinical workflows

Learning objectives: 
Participants who engage in this educational intervention will be able to:
  • Determine evidence-based blood pressure goals for patients with hypertension based on individual risk profiles and comorbid conditions.
  • Initiate and adjust first-line antihypertensive therapies to optimize blood pressure control while counseling patients on potential adverse effects and appropriate monitoring and follow-up in clinical practice.
  • Intervention will be able to evaluate medication adherence, lifestyle contributors, and secondary causes to develop management strategies for patients with resistant hypertension.
