The role of ultrasound in the diagnosis and management of perinatal conditions has become essential to everyday practice, and is often used to guide the plan of care.  With increased use of ultrasound in the diagnosis and management of perinatal conditions, along with rapid advancements in genetics and ultrasound techniques, continuing education specific to perinatal ultrasound is needed to provide health care providers with the necessary information to make sound clinical judgements, accurate diagnoses, and evidence-based management plans that will provide the best possible outcome for the mother-infant dyad.

This program was developed to present the most current information related to ultrasound identification and diagnosis of normal and abnormal maternal and fetal structures and/or conditions, as well as to provide evidence-based recommendations for the management of the presented topic areas.  Case studies will be used to illustrate the new information and its application to obstetrical ultrasound.  Our goal is to continuously improve the quality and safety of perinatal ultrasound services for the patients in our community.
