Ascension Virtual Lung Cancer Tumor Board
The purpose of the Virtual Tumor Board is to educate multidisciplinary providers and ancillary staff and those who treat or manage lung cancer patients. Multidisciplinary cancer case conferences are to improve the care of cancer patients by contributing to the patient management process and outcomes and providing education to providers and staff who actively participate.
This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education through the joint providership of the Medical College of Wisconsin and Ascension | Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare. The Medical College of Wisconsin is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
The Medical College of Wisconsin designates this activity for up to 20 hours of participation for continuing education for allied health professionals.
Target Audience
These virtual case conferences will be targeted to providers specifically in the specialty of Thoracic Surgery, Pulmonology, Hematology/Oncology, Pathology, Radiology, Radiation Oncology, Primary Care, and will be open to other healthcare professionals involved in the management of lung cancer patients.

At the conclusion of this activity, I will be able to:
- Review and discuss diagnostic studies
- Discuss and recommend treatment plans to optimize better outcomes
- Differentiation between diagnosis and follow-up modalities for various types of cancer
- Review new procedure, technology, treatment for lung cancer patients
- Assess available clinical trials
- Describe accurate staging of cancer and national clinical guidelines used in staging
