Program Description: 

WPA Grand Rounds series features a variety of topics in psychiatry. This virtual series occurs monthly on the the last Thursday of the month from 12pm-1pm CST.

  • Physicians
Learning objectives: 
Participants who engage in this educational intervention will be able to:
  • Describe the importance of this topic to public  health and mitigating suicide risk.
  • Process the framing of said conversation to benefit both the patient and physician.
  • Recognize the cultural components that can affect patient's emotional response to the topic.
  • Delineate the four main questions to include in this conversation to maximize rapport and education.
