WPA Grand Rounds series features a variety of topics in psychiatry. This virtual series occurs monthly on the last Thursday of the month from 12pm-1pm CST.

Participants who engage in this educational intervention will be able to:
  • Review the history of, and legal foundations for civil commitment in Wisconsin. 
  • Analyze standard of proof for involuntary hospitalization in Wisconsin
  • Identify the least restrictive alternative and due process/dangerousness concerns in Wisconsin.
  • Discuss landmark cases and recent case law regarding civil commitment in Wisconsin.
