Program Description:
WPA Grand Rounds series features a variety of topics in psychiatry. This virtual series occurs monthly on the last Thursday of the month from 12pm-1pm CST.

Learning objectives:
This Grand Rounds session, Principles and Practice of Treating Anorexia Nervosa and Bulimia Nervosa, is designed to improve clinicians’ competence in the assessment and evidence-based management of eating disorders. Learners will enhance their ability to determine the most appropriate level of care and treatment setting for patients with anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa, apply core evidence-based treatment principles, and critically evaluate the role, indications, and limitations of pharmacologic therapies in the multidisciplinary management of eating disorders.
Participants who engage in this educational intervention will be able to:
- Assess patients with eating disorders to determine the most appropriate level of care and treatment setting.
- Explain the core evidence-based treatment principles for anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa.
- Evaluate the role, indications, and limitations of pharmacologic therapies in the management of eating disorders.
