  • Evaluate the different causes of sudden hearing loss.
  • Establish bedside examination skills, including how to determine sensorineural hearing loss vs conductive hearing loss, and how to identify a middle ear effusion.
  • Assess the level of referral urgency in a patient with sudden hearing loss 
  • Inform what types of treatment a non-ENT provider can provide, and also what types of treatment an ENT specialist can provide.
