The educational series will incorporate evidence based guidelines and resources to address identified educational gaps. Those resources will be made available to participants for future use at the end of each education session.

Participants who engage in this educational intervention will be able to:

  • Understand the RTI process in schools and its role in the IEP determination process
  • Understand the difference between a 504 plan and IEP
  • Describe what a 504 plan is and the supports it provides
  • Understand the components of an IEP and the supports it provides
  • Identify the difference between a school evaluation and individual evaluation
