Health Disparities
You will be able to claim credit for all components of "Virtual Opioid Rounds: A Multidisciplinary Approach" you complete at the end of the course. The Health Disparities component contains a presentation you must watch in order to claim credit.
Target Audience
This course is designed for members of the MCW community - MCW Faculty, MCP, CSG, CMG, CP and Zablocki VA physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants with a current DEA certificate and who prescribe opioids for pain management.
Learning Objectives
- Review patient case within the context of opioids and the disparities that exist around opioid prescribing and pain management
- Define health disparities, populations at risk, and framework for discussion
- Review the known disparities and contributors of disparities that exist based on the literature to include patient related factors, provider related factors, and system related factors
