Session 7: Pharmacogenomics

This course will give participants a broad perspective on the emergence of clinical and applied pharmacogenomics (PGx) and provide them with insight into its growing importance in major clinical therapeutic areas.

3. Hypothesize strategies and examples for developing a pharmacogenomics implementation program.

This module is presented with a pre-recorded PowerPoint presentation and sound.  An audio lecture is given using visual key points listed on the PowerPoint presentation.  Following the presentation, learners will be asked quiz questions to test retainment of knowledged gained in the presentation. Learners are able to complete the module at their own pace.
Bradley Stockard, PharmD, PhD joined the MCW School of Pharmacy in August 2022. He received his PharmD from the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Pharmacy and PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Florida. He is a graduate of the Clinical Pharmacology T32 Fellowship program which he completed at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, MO. He served as Chief Fellow from 2021-2022. During his fellowship, he completed a research rotation with the Center for Drug Evaluation and Research department at the FDA. His research interests are in multi-omics association studies on variations in treatment outcomes for pediatric leukemias and neonatology. He has presented his research at American Society of Hematology and American Society of Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutic Annual Conferences.
