IMPACT: Integration of Multidisciplinary Practice in APP-Driven Cancer Treatment

The inaugural IMPACT conference is a two-day event focused on empowering APPs in hematology & oncology by sharing expertise, educating across practice settings, and elevating patient care. Pre-conference includes a skills/wellness day, and a networking event followed by the full-day conference addressing current topics in cancer care.

Target Audience

Oncology nurse practitioners, physician assistants, allied-health professionals, students

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to:
  • Identify current evidence-based practice guidelines for the topic areas presented.  
  • Describe the role of APPs and models of team-based care within the context of cancer screening, pain management, and toxicity management. 
  • Implement a patient-centered approach within a broad range of cancer topics to increase their competency, safety, and quality in cancer-based specialty care.
  • Participate in skills labs to increase competency in specific areas, including GOC/difficult conversations, oncology rehab therapy support, conflict management, and radiology review/interpretation.
