Wisconsin Orthopaedic Society 2016 Annual Meeting
The purpose of the Wisconsin Orthopaedic Society is to enhance the commitment of practicing orthopaedic surgeons in Wisconsin to stay current of information and advancements in the dynamic practice of modern orthopaedic surgery, to maintain the highest medical and ethical standards, and ultimately to optimize service and care to our patients. This is encouraged by our members and promoted by our educational and informative process.
This course will provide current update on evaluation and treatment for upper extremity orthopaedic disorders, there will be discussions on occupational hazards for orthopaedic providers and current strategies for orthopaedic care in third world countries.
This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education through the joint providership of the Medical College of Wisconsin and Wisconsin Orthopadic Society. The Medical College of Wisconsin is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, Learners will be able to:
- List indications for superior capsule reconstruction in the shoulder
- Describe treatment alternatives for rotator cuff arthropathy
- Identify various hazards of ortho surgery occupation, including risk for "burnout", depression, upper extremity compressive neuropathies, cervical radiculopathy; implement strategies for prevention and treatment
- Discuss the critical needs and challenges for the practice of orthopaedics in developing countries and learn about opportunities for volunteer service
