The Department of Pathology of La Spezia Hospital will hold a three-day course focusing on selected topics in FNA for the practising and interventional cytopathologist.

At the conclusion of the CME activity, the participants will be able to:

  • Learn about the common challenges and diagnostic discrepancies encountered in the field of Fine Needle Aspiration and Exfoliative Cytology.
  • Recognize the causes of pitfalls in Cytopathology practise, and how to best avoid them.
  • Adopt a practical approach to manage with challenging cases.
  • Understand the cytological features seen in problematic Metastatic Malignancies of Unknow Primary and compare different entities which may pose relevant difficulties in differential diagnosis.
