Midwestern Conference: Update Course in Surgical Pathology 2014

Milwaukee, WI US
September 12, 2014 to September 14, 2014
This program has been designed to provide a comprehensive and practical update of diagnostic surgical pathology.  The course is primarily designed for practicing surgical pathologists, particularly those involved in community practice.  The course should also be of interest for pathologists-in-training, surgeons, oncologists and other health care professionals.

The Medical College of Wisconsin, as the sole medical teaching institution in Southeastern Wisconsin considers it a responsibility to offer community physicians CME programs that will help them update their skills in their specialty and acquire new medical knowledge.  There is currently no other program of its kind being presently offered for pathologists in the state of Wisconsin.  Support for the need and desirability of such a program has been reinforced through informal conversations held between the members
of the planning committee and pathologists in the community.

The intention of Pathology has been to provide a comprehensive and practical update of diagnostic surgical pathology to practicing surgical pathologists.  Many attending pathologists have completed their training in previous years (i.e. before the year 2000) and have not been exposed to the new molecular techniques currently available for diagnosis.
