Participants who engage in this educational intervention will be able to:
- Understand how The 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) were adopted by all UN Member States in 2015, as part of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development which set out a 15-year plan to achieve the Goals.
- Learn about SDG 3 (Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages) and the targets related to maternal mortality and preventable newborn deaths, including which countries are critical to global progress, the key drivers of maternal and newborn deaths, and the scope and scale of these drivers.
- Gain insights into the role of private philanthropy - global and local - in supporting progress, particularly in relation to State actors/duty
