Program Description: 

Attendees of Pediatric Grand Rounds will learn from leading experts state-of-the art clinical and basic science best available evidence in a wide variety of topics in pediatric medicine. Information presented will enable attendees to remain current on best practices that improve their ability to deliver excellent patient care and outcomes.

Learning objectives: 

Participants who engage in this educational intervention will be able to:

  • Understand factors important for optimal Bone Health in children

  • Be able to identify children at risk for bone fragility

  • Perform an early evaluation/work up and referral

  • Learn about treatment options for low bone mineral density and their limitations

  • Become familiar with the Metabolic Bone Clinic at Children’s Wisconsin
