Triple P Positive Parenting System: Possibilities for Wisconsin
The conference will address population level approaches to child maltreatment prevention. Triple P is an evidence based population level intervention that has demonstrated positive impact on reducing child maltreatment and improving social-emotional and behavioral functioning of children.
Participants will gain knowledge regarding a multilevel preventative intervention to address a serious health issue in our nation. Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE) are highly correlated with negative long term health and social consequences.
The conference goal is to increase awareness and knowledge among a cross sector of child serving and healthcare systems regarding the evidence for population level approaches to child maltreatment prevention. The long term goal is to increase capacity in Wisconsin to deliver evidence based population level child maltreatment prevention services.
