Session 6;
Excellence in Quality Improvement Principles (EQuIP) is a hands-on, project-based improvement training course. The purpose of the EQuIP course is to provide physicians, healthcare professionals, other clinicians, and administrative leaders with the knowledge and skills required to lead breakthrough improvement initiatives. Additionally, the course will promote sustained individual involvement in significant improvement initiatives to enhance a culture of continuous improvement and organizational learning. This is a pragmatic course, emphasizing the application of improvement and change management tools and methods. EQuIP training will be held over the course of eight months with 6 in person learning sessions and application of learning through a quality improvement project in between sessions.

- Apply standard quality improvement principles and tools through the execution of a quality improvement project.
- Demonstrate this application to their peers, course faculty, and project sponsors through formal course report outs and project presentations at course completion.
