Trauma-Informed Approaches: SAMHSA Style

This module reviews the definition and prevalence of trauma as well as its effects. It also introduces the concept of trauma-informed approaches, which involves a shift in perspective from “What’s wrong with you?” to “What happened to you?” Approaching everyone as if they could have experienced trauma has the potential to create a kinder and gentler workplace and improve relationships with friends, families, and patients.
