Program Description: 

Together In Care is a year-long webinar based educational series focused on neonatal-perinatal palliative care concepts for neonatal teams. Our goals include equipping neonatal team members with the competencies and comfort to utilize primary palliative care skills and recognize when to collaborate with specialty palliative care.

Learning objectives: 

Participants who engage in this educational intervention will be able to:

  • Discuss complexities and limitations within pediatric palliative care and challenges in building a pediatric palliative program.
  • Introduce concepts for palliative care in a chronic setting, including post-discharge considerations and differences between models of care.
  • Discuss ethical considerations with complex cases, such as quality of life perspectives, end of life care, and supporting families and staff.
