- Highlight the first-line medication and how to select second line glucose lowering medications for type 2 diabetics recommended by the American Diabetes Association
- Relate an alteration of pathophysiology causing hyperglycemia in Type 2 diabetes to a class of medications that have a mechanism of action that counteracts it
- Give an example of why to hold an oral antidiabetic medication for a patient being admitted to the hospital
- Develop an inpatient insulin plan for a diabetic patient.
