Internet Point of Care CME is self-directed learning of a self-identified clinical question through use of evidence-based medical databases that are accessible through the Medical College of Wisconsin Libraries. Identify and consult relevant sources and describe the application of findings to practice. Earn 0.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits^TM per search and up to 20 credits in a calendar year.

How to Help People That Use Opioids

This 2-hour course provides evidence-based treatment/management strategies for patients with certain types of pain and or substance abuse disorders. This course has been approved by the Wisconsin Medical Examining Board as meeting the requirements for a continuing education course on the responsible opioid prescribing guidelines per Med 13.03(3) of the Wisconsin Administrative Code.

Target Audience: Healthcare professionals who care for patients who use opioids and other controlled substances.
